Google's Calculator app is now in the Play Store and comes with an Android Wear app
I know it may not seem worth while to speak of a calculator app for many people, but for the few readers who use a calculator quite often, this could be good news. Google placed its Calculator app in the Play Store . Now the app can be updated easily and mo...

I like how the themes are playing out and Lucifer himself is growing on me. Now there's a 2 week break :(

Yes it's a lifestyle change and you have to be self aware.

We just got back from vacation where I indulged in holiday diet - that is eating high amounts of ice cream ,fried foods and having wine and cheese every day. I think the big change for me was restaurant eating - when we're in the Cook Islands I'm very aware of the limited availability of food and garbage production so I tend to eat everything on my plate. (next year we're sharing more treats) By the end of the holiday I was ready to return to our regular home cooked meals. I gained 3 pounds and it will be interesting to see where my weight settles as I return to my usual diet and activities.

One reason we hit the Cooks in March is to change up our activites.

One reason we hit the Cooks in March is to change up our activites.

Daily walks, snorkeling and kayaking keep us busy as does walking and taking the bus. Even in yesterday's downpour we were out walking and touring. Every little bit helps.

The picture makes the weather looks a lot nicer than it is. Still cloudy and rainy. Still walking on a beach so it doesn't matter. And the weather is perfect for snorkeling. Lagoon is clear so it doesn't have to be a brilliant day. We're going touring and into town.

I guess I don't particularly like the main host because he's so blatantly anti Samsung which may also explain why he describes attributes I haven't encountered. Anyway, will be downloading something else when I get to wifi.

Someone very disappointed with the S7 edge, but they have a point. Anything I review is something I've purchased unless I specifically mention it's a review unit. And yes I buy a lot of tech.

My dad was a primary grade teacher. I remember him coming home and saying he couldn't single children out for reward. I thought that was interesting because one of the teachers I thought was the best, gave everyone a reward based on skills improvement.

I'm not just talking about slapping on a case or a decal on it. What about the internal? Sure, you can theme to your heart's content. Let's go a bit further, how about finding different apps that will match the theme you have in mind? Most of people underst...

Alcohol doesn't fit in my day to day lifestyle right now but I don't have a philosophical argument about imbibing. You just need to do it responsibly. Do it in a safe place, don't leave that space until you sober up.

Also, if you want to drive fast - join a race club or pay for track time to support a club.

It's that time when I start piling up books in advance of airports and beaches. On the plane I watch Chinese police procedurals and read subtitles.

Back to books, so far I have Quantum Night, The Cold Between which should be on my tablet by Wednesday, Trigger Warning, Chaos Quarter (free Samsung book for the month), books 2 & 3 of Rogues of the Republic (for humour) on my kindle software and a bunch on Play Books (humble bundle and Baen bundle) plus the classics, Little Brother and Neuromancer.

Two comments - no internet for a week means sinking into books and I do not read enough Robert J Sawyer even though I really enjoy his stuff.

The only thing that really bothered me about the "hook up culture" was I didn't get why women would participate. The reporting didn't make it sound fun enough to do for free.

The only thing that really bothered me about the "hook up culture" was I didn't get why women would participate. The reporting didn't make it sound fun enough to do for free.

It seemed focused on men's enjoyment; women seemed to be there to provide a service.  I had thought it was just a bias but perhaps it wasn't.

My M-I-L has been seeing a nutritionist as part of her physician monitored health assessment. They've talked about nutrition and  and I've noticed a change in eating style. It's a shame she didn't get this kind of health assistance until she was in her 70s. It's all about metabolic health.
