These type of people give all immigrants a bad name. When I think of all the immigrants who take jobs away from their families for two years in order to qualify to apply, it makes me want to spit on this guy.

As for his clients, I don't think all of them should be stripped of citizenship and/landed immigrant status. Just the ones who actually falsified residence requirements.

While authorities say the pair never met in person, they are investigating a possible online connection, the newspaper reported.

Spending the long weekend moving furniture neck until the house- yay! And Milo can stay home again. I am super glad I was working for this. I hate living in a reno.

The biggest injustice the anti-abortion movement has been to convince women that losing a pregnancy is a personal failure that should be punished.

The biggest injustice the anti-abortion movement has been to convince women that losing a pregnancy is a personal failure that should be punished.

The implementation of an abortion law came up in Canada a few years ago. At the moment it's a medical procedure between a woman and her doctor. Just like everywhere else, the majority of terminations occur in the first trimester with a very low percent in the last trimester. Just like everywhere else, the focus is on the survival of the newborn. If you need a law to mandate care for children your culture is flawed. If you need a law that mandate as many pregnancies get carried to term without follow up support for babies, children and their care givers your culture is flawed.

I have had 2 terminations. One when I got an ectopic pregnancy after having 4 hour surgery to enable pregnancy and another after IVF. In neither case did I have to jump a bunch of hoops (although I did have to wait in Emerg for my Dr in one case) and I can't imagine having random public input into a personal decision.

Day 7. All that remains...

Our plan is to wash the floors tomorrow evening and check the work, leaving post it notes with comments. Great work, the only thing that bothers me is the total lack of PPE and guards on saws. I couldn't stay upstairs because it was just too loud. OTOH safety glasses and respirator would have been horrible with the heat we had (35C)

My regular case works in my wallet and the Speigen ring is for kayaking and stuff where I can even add a lanyard as well as having a good grip.

We used to have the cushions in the house. Took up lots of space and inconvenient of you decided to sit out. This is probably why we've sat out so often this year. Well and weather.

It was a declutter day since the bathroom is getting new flooring.

I'm pretty good at culling but sometimes you just have to pull everything out and re-arrange. I don't user primers/serums/foundation/concealer on a regular basis so I can throw that more to the back of the drawer until the winter. Also, containers are your friend.

We figure we'll do a 36 month lease so we don't get stuck with old tech. The lakes we kayak at are in the 200km radius that will allow a round trip without running out of juice. Same with Fred's metal detecting. Since we're not moving, and both randomly working, we'll need a second vehicle. Hopefully by the time the Macan is 7 years or so there will be a hybrid available.

Groups intent on creating a Christian theocracy. Distorting or discarding any charitable notions in their religious texts to, assume God's role in judging people. Do intent on using identity politics to denigrate and discriminate against people.

Locally (Butte County, California) it doesn't rain for 6-8 months every year in the summer & fall. I''ve noticed that wild grasses stay green longer in the partial shade provided by solar panel installations. There are lots of crops that would thrive here with less light & sun exposure while using less water.

The article linked reports on research combining solar panels with crops in matched field trials so that results can be quantified.

I have no problem strongly disagreeing with blunt statements. I think they have to include a preamble about changing gears. I wouldn't associate those questions with my brand unless I was trying to appeal to a specific type of consumer to the exclusion of others. Pretty sure that's not airmiles.

TL;DR 151 minors detained with parents and average of 13 days. 20 families separated. Men (unfairly) get separated and allowed short visits. There are always questions about how directives are followed - bullies should not be given the opportunity. The move towards community housing - perhaps at decommissioned PMQs - would be a good alternative although those PMQs are often on valuable (aka high tax value to the municipality) land.

It's pretty accepted there's a lot of collateral crime associated with drug use. Not to mention the grief of friends and/or family when a life goes sideways. Why are we only willing to throw money after instead of on prevention? Surely social sciences use modelling to predict out comes and focus efforts. Portugal seems to have a handle on things. Why is it so different other places?
