Every once in awhile I think about getting a windows tablet. Then I try checking for a setting on my desktop. I hate the way stuff is hidden.

  4. Well, as you probably know by now, I can't endorse the idea of a Windows tablet, but I understand the allure. To me, it's more the allure of a device the size of a tablet, but with the oomph of a desktop PC. I have a fundamental distaste for the entire Windows ecosystem, though (for a variety of reasons), and there are no devices that have the oomph of my desktop anyway.

As far as operating systems and hidden settings is concerned, well ... you probably know what I'd say about that, too LOL! All the different flavours of Linux (and their respective Desktop Environments) have their own custom way of hiding settings, some more obfuscated than others. At least we can query the system at the command-line level if all else fails.
