The US is not into NAFTA so what's the harm?

Canada has been pretty low key and, as a result, borne the brunt of the new US win - everyone else lose style of politics. Much better to get started on additional trade agreements. It took 7 years to negotiate the deal with the EU. Why would it be different with China?

  2. So, the US is telling Canada, "We want to screw you over with a new reworked NAFTA agreement that sucks for you or screw you over by torpedoing the agreement altogether. If you try to compensate for our screwing you over by working on a trade agreement with another country, we're going to get upset."

  3. People in America, generally the knuckle dragging Trump supporters, get all uppity when us "foreigners" have a go at Trump and his policies because "We're 'Merca and WTF does it have to do with you, Trump is OUR president".
Sadly, they are too stupid to understand that the man they support is a danger to the world in so many ways.. Yeah, he's threatened multiple times to send a nuclear storm onto North Korea and we all think .. "oops, that's not good" but when someone actually says 2 nations shouldn't involve themselves in trade negotiations because it might anger Trump.. then there's a serious problem.
Such a shame that many Americans don't understand the world happens in spite of their wishes..

  4. I would be concerned with human rights issues with China but I'm seeing those same issues emerging in the US so...

  5. Trump doesn't run America anyway ... it's been openly proven that the NRA does.

If America wants to horn in on our trade deals, maybe they should show that they have ANY interest in the ones they're involved with - outside of "how can we screw you over and get all the goods for us?" One-sided arrangements aren't "deals" and if the US can't figure out how to play with others, they'll find themselves all alone out there, wondering why all their friends packed up their toys and abandoned them.
