  2. Boris Borcic​ I think the point is you must be able to tailor your message style to the audience and to do that you must understand it. Sure not all 10 years olds are the same but within a school system they have been formally presented with the same amount of information.

    And one should strive to engage the least knowledgeable in an effort to give them more information if you think your information is important.

Mmmm, whatever, what you are saying is that one's capacity to effectively tailor the message style to an audience of 10 yo is sufficient to the conclusion that you understand it, while what Gareth quoted affirms that it is necessary to that conclusion. I've not enough recent experience with 10 yo to have a sense of what it would take to explain that nuance to a 10 yo;)
