I use the fingerprint lock on my S6 and Tab S2.
I have of work email account that doesn't allow trusted devices so I installed Knox which knocked out Action Launcher 3. After struggling for awhile I took out Knox. Using my print is easy and reliable security. Do you have a finger print sensor? Is it your preferred security?

I use the fingerprint sensor on my 6P. Very handy and fast. At first, I was skeptical about the placement, but after using it, I really like where it is. It is also high enough that I can reach it even when my phone is mounted in my car.
ReplyDeleteI used trusted devices
ReplyDeleteI like Trusted Device better, although I can see why you'd prefer fingerprint.
ReplyDeleteThe fingerprint is just on your device not in a database. I have more than one finger and put the one I chose a non-standard angle.
ReplyDeleteFrom your perspective nothing is secure. Plus we have different privacy laws in Canada.
ReplyDeleteFinger print on my 6p is first time I ever used any kind of lock screen
ReplyDeleteS5 not great Tim Hunt S6 very stable. I had the Tab S and the print reader wasn't as good on it either.
ReplyDeleteA fingerprint is an identifier, not a password. It's a user name, basically. It is not very impressive for security, much like a "type in your email address" field wouldn't be. So don't trust your 'security' too much.
