As expected, Trudeau did well. Made Trump look good.

As expected, Trudeau did well. Made Trump look good.

Trudeau is the only world leader who didn't put their foot in their mouth abuot Trump being elected. Authoritarian people mistake "nice" for weak. Nice is simply a way of doing things. He got Trump to say tweak NAFTA and common values for what it's worth. Flies, honey, etc.

This reporting is as good as any:)

  1. Trump's ridiculous "bully" behaviour exemplified by his handshake is getting the attention it deserves I see.

  2. The contrast between Trump and Trudeau could not be more striking: Trudeau is an excellent leader who oozes class. Trump is a dangerous, authoritarian moron who just... oozes.

  3. I like that Trudeau says Canada's role is to lead by example. It's like being the tortoise on a race.

  4. I cannot imagine a finer or more fitting role for Canada, Cass Morrison. I wish the US were capable of leading by example. I'm pretty sure we haven't been in my lifetime. Certainly not my adult lifetime.

  5. Forgive my ignorance in this question. But didn't Canada have another PM with the same name?

  6. There was another Trudeau, but it wasn't Justin (I think it was Pierre).

  7. John Hummel oic... I though the name was familiar.

  8. Pierre Elliot Trudeau was his pop. Swinging single PM when he was voted in.

  9. Thanks, Cass Morrison. I didn't realize he was single. Another way in which Canadians/Canada are awesome: You can be sure Americans would never elect a single president.

  10. John Hummel Yeah not as long as the religious zealots still hold power behind the scenes.. Don't get me wrong... I am all for the freedom of being able to practice one's beliefs.. But the notion "separation of church and state" is but words in the political system here in the good ol US of A. Maybe not in my lifetime.. But one day perhaps people will be less religious and more spiritual.

  11. Americans are heading in that direction, Lieonte Munoz. Very, very gradually. Maybe in your lifetime; probably not mine.
