Training is such a tough thing - and I say this as a trainer. Finding effective ways to break down pre-existing opinions so they can empathize with the casualty is difficult. Reporting sexual assault is always going to be difficult. Many people don't regularly speak of their experiences with strangers on top of the unfamiliarity of being assaulted.
ReplyDeleteMan has dark desires and cravings... For most, we keep them at bay and wish to not deevolve to a rougher state. So if I can bridle my own demons.. Why is it hard for most other men to do the same. People who are just plain off notwithstanding. Men, if you have an urge, find a woman willing to indulge you. There is no need to hurt a woman, these women are our daughters, mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, wives, girlfriends, you get the point. I just don't get how someone can objectify a woman to the point where she has no value to him beyond his selfish need. For it is not the thought that is evil, it is acting on said though. Learn to master self. These types of crimes should not be happening so much anymore. And when a woman claims it has... Listen to her, if any man or men can arbitrarily dismiss a woman's cry for justice,just know that Karma is real!
ReplyDeleteData analysis shows violence is committed by a small percentage of men but we, as a culture, refuse to do the work to identify and segregate these people. They are likely being violent towards men and children as well.
