I rarely go into the bank but no financial facility for 50 km seems a bit much.
Canadian banks are making record profits the least RBC (and the other banks) should do is provide a service centre with bonded employees to help people negotiate web banking or offer the mobile banking services to seniors for all transactions.

I see less issue with this so long as they reduce fees to offset the reduction in service. My one concern though would also be access to ABMs. We switched to tangerine to get away from the high fees, but we would still use Scotiabanks ABMs to wuthdraw cash or manages PINs for your cards. Are the bank also shutting down their ABMs?
ReplyDeleteSounds like they don't have bank machines in that town!?!? And as the 93 year old interviewee said it does act as a social hub. I'll bet they aren't reducing any fees either.
