I have a love/hate relationship with sewing.
Mostly hate. I first did it as a badge for Girl Guides. It was a struggle. Since then I've made a few things but mostly now just do hemming. This afternoon was cutting off jeans to make shorts, repairing shorts for Fred and doing some jeans hemming for me.
Actually I think it's the sewing machine I'm not fond of. I don't mind hand hemming and doing buttons.
It does tend to be the sewing machine. Go to sewing shops and find an old Bernina. They hold up forever, and sell at a fraction of new machines.
