  1. If the farmer had reached into a car with his handgun and shot a white guy in the back of his head, the farmer would be in jail.

There is no doubt in my mind about that.

As for the farmer being racist...well, if you consider property more valuable than a person's life and they just so happen to be a minority, 99 times out of 100, you're a racist.

As for Trudeau & the other ministers statements, I welcome their opinions. I'm happy they still have opinions and are allowed to express them publicly.

The former Harper gov't only had one opinion...Steve's.

  2. The fact that so called conservatives are having a go at the PM for daring to say the system has to do better says far more about the conservatives than it does the PM..
    He's right..
They are saying "the system is fine like it is, be quiet"

    He's still right.

  3. I still want to know why nothing is being asked about why, in CANADA, this farmer had a go&&amn loaded handgun IN THE FIRST PLACE!! What part of my possession and acquisition training did I miss, where you could suddenly have that gun, let alone loaded, out of the case, and NOT being transported to/from an approved range or licensed gunsmith???

When I grew up on the farm, we chased people off with rifles or shotguns ... because we couldn't even possess the damn hand gun! (And it was always white guys who thought they had the right to drop their beer bottle in the bed of the truck and point rifles at us, while trespassing on OUR property...)

  4. Chris Pollard that is a mystery to me as well although I read one report where it wasn't described as a hand gun but it wasn't a recognizable long gun style either.

+David Belliveau there is a lot of fear and frustration in rural areas. Sure some people assume any bad actor is First Nations but that aside we need to change how we transfer funds and maintain infrastructure in isolated communities with few resources.
