My dad came from Trinidad to be in the air force. I didn't know citizenship was a requirement for military service.

Volunteers should be vetted of course but if you want to join from another country, during the first term you should be a landed immigrant and after be granted citizenship. Default dual.

  1. Related to this is the fact that the British soldiers who famously occupied Washington in 1814 and burned our White House were almost all born in English Canada and were called the Canadian Regiment. U.S.ians would never accept that those pro-single payer health, pro-gun control Canadians conquered us, but they for all purposes did! My only complaint is that they then left!
