I got Fred a cardboard to use with my S6. He's walking around the house snorkeling. He says it's pretty cool. I could get him an S6 that comes with a Samsung VR headset.

    I've had the Gear VR for over 3 weeks and it's so much better than cardboard and it's only 100 dollars
