I don't even know how to lock/unlock my vehicle with the key (what key?).
It would be interesting to know the mechanism. I have enter and drive so I have to make contact the sensor while holding the key. I assume it's a form of NFC/BT not radio but I don't know.

I have passive entry on my Journey too. It's basically an RFID transmitter/receiver. Kind of wish it was BT or NFC so you could make it work with your phone ... but I still like the whole leave the key in my pocket/push button start thing.
ReplyDeleteYeah I love that. Just wish my key wasn't so bulky. Sure it looks like a little Porsche but doesn't it ruin the line of the expensive suits Porsche owners are supposed to wear?
ReplyDeleteThis bit of news isn't entirely new. There's a few demos and methods I've seen in tech shows that demonstrates what's needs and how-to's.
