Our Toller was on milk weed when he had liver disease. Sometimes is helped and sometimes it didn't. Or was it just the ebb and flow of the disease.

We really want to believe even when there is no proof. The problem I have with supplements is, no matter the claim there is no quality control to guarantee I'm getting what I pay for. I'm sad I was willing to do something to my dog that I wasn't willing to do to me.

  1. I think people who can afford supplements, as long as they are safe - as opposed to controlled for efficacy - we're just spending money to feel like we're in control. I used milk thistle with Teak because of the liver support, I was just never sure of the quality.
