When I first read Lionel Shriver strange keynote - this was the first book I thought of.
For some reason, I had heard of this book and expected something along the lines of "I Spy". Instead of a light(ish) easy read along the lines of Adam Hall I got ... an unexpected education. For some reason, the betrayal of the system was more shocking than any of the George Smiley book.
