Don’t take just the existence of this COP as the stamp of approval for it; ... Do your own due diligence before making irrevocable choices.

^^This is why I continued as I struggled through my sustainable resources MOOC. I wanted to understand policy and the role my decisions make. The data is out there, publicly available. It's even lumped into convenient groups like transportation, industrial and residential. There's just simple calculating anyone can do once they are shown the conversions.

How does the carbon tax work and what should it be to drive change? 2nd or 3 week. It's unfortunate that these are all health effects so people sweep them under the rug of "it won't happen to me and if it does it's in the future." It's easy to exclude that from personal core values.

BTW $10 carbon tax is an appeal to the core value of spending as little as possible on something. It should be at least $50 to drive change that would keep coal as a backburner baseline energy source.
