I never get travel insurance because everyone I've talked to has nothing but nightmare encounters when making a claim.
This is brutal. The woman did what she thought was right for her child by getting insurance only to find she could have burned the money and gotten around the same value - would probably offset $8 in heating. I'm glad the soccer association's insurance was seamless. I've always worn eye protection for sports like squash and racquetball, maybe it's time for eye protection with soccer.
