Actually even as a feminist, I don't think there's any reason that women should necessarily trust a man on BC, and should take her own prudent steps. The critical point is this: If you (regardless of your gender) don't trust your partner's BC (regardless of their gender), you should have the means of securing your own BC. And that's why I've always supported male as well female BC.

ReplyDeleteI have to be honest here, I can't see myself popping a pill that alters the natural running of my subsystems. I fully get and agree with the need for such measures. Alas, science needs to come up with a less evasive paradigm for both sexes.
ReplyDeleteMark Lastiwka I concur. Lack of trust in any intimate relationship should be as dooming as a Clarion bell as the world ends. If your partner is playing fast and loose with this stuff... GET OUT! Also, why would anyome continue to share sexual intimacy under such dire circumstances...?
ReplyDeleteMark Lastiwka Sometimes people who have sex are not in any relationship with their partner(s). In this case, you would want to protect yourself.
ReplyDeleteMany people think it's better to ask forgiveness than permission even within a relationship - I am happy never to have been in one but had know people who have been. When the act could result in the start of creating a person, there needs to be consent all around.
