ReplyDeleteTesla went to great lengths to automate battery swapping for fast long distance travel... nobody wanted it. They would rather go to the toilet, have a coffee and chill time.
Transport evolved had a contactless charger trial in her garage, fitted to her Leaf. It wasted a lot of electricity. Individuals have built their own robot arms to connect their charge plug. That is the way to go.

ReplyDeleteCass Morrison My TV uses very little power on standby. All this has to do is detect inductance like a metal detector before putting in the power.
ReplyDeleteIt's inefficiency comes from the transmission distance to the receiver coil and localised metal objects (worse with aluminium) which will be parasitic.
