Science!

Using the same idea as vaccines (low dose exposure to change immunological response) we can decrease the incidence of food allergies - specifically peanut allergies. I don't know why this would be a surprise.

  1. Scientists and physicians need to be way more careful giving nutrition and health information to the general public. Real science has a lot of uncertainty. The public needs to get more comfortable with that. And scienctists and physicians have to help.

    Science, however, is not Religion. Science is not perfect. And sometimes new evidence overturns previous dogma. We need to teach people to be skeptical and to think for themselves.

    That is hard to do.

    But, despite its imperfections, science is the best way we have to establish fact and understand the universe.
