Canada will have to make concessions or...
Doesn't sound like a negotiation or a partnership, sounds like it will take a year for the US to pick up all their marbles and go home. http://www.cbc.ca/1.4015647
And we are. 2 in the last year. They are still our closest trading partner. I suspect the threat will be to gut the auto industry and our privacy laws that restrict some of their tech expansion.
I wouldn't be surprised if they also want to raise acceptable pollution levels in the great lakes since they are rolling back recovery program and disbanding the EPA in 2018 with no plan for migrating their responsibility elsewhere. And to some extent we have no choice. They pollute and we bear the cost of cleanup.
All we need to do is make deals with other countries. Then it won't matter what the US wants.
