Eager to recognise bad but not good.
Government cannot control the economy in a capitalist society. All it can do is mitigate economic effect on their constituents. The NDP had done that.

In the 1990s, all I read about the NDP was about it floundering -- in the west and Ontario. Now, it has had success. Let's hear about it!
ReplyDeleteThis NDP has focused on supporting people by rejecting austerity during a downturn but not by flowing more money to corporations. It really pissed of conservatives (and guys who felt they are entitled to a high paying job).
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear this. In the pre-internet early '90s, I'd stop by my library in Louisville weekly to read Macleans and Canadian Forum. It gave me a left, and right take on Canadian developments. That is the way to inform oneself, rather than "be informed." I liked doing it that way.
