Don't be selfish and fake a food allergy.

Don't be selfish and fake a food allergy.

We cook vegan at home and Fred sucks it up when we go out (including his parent's house). He picks from what's available and will eat vegetarian if it's a holiday over weeks. Even on planes. At the same time, we eat typical looking food at home without using dairy or eggs. Waffles, scrambles, stew etc.

  1. ...People do that? Just ask for it to be a little different. If it's a decent restaurant they're usually happy to substitute or leave out ingredients for you.

  2. I once had a waiter tell me that the chef said I wasn't allergic to something I had identified. I told the waiter to tell him when he was finished cooking to bring me HIS doctor's degree as I was tested and confirmed it. The well know restaurant eventually closed that location....wonder why?
