This is a movie I always have with me. You can dip in and out as it feels like trilogy in one sitting. Mullllteeeepaaass.

  1. I tried to watch this movie, but the style just totally threw me off. It just missed the mark for me.

  2. I think for the very same reasons why some, who negatively critique this movie, is why it works. The lasting charm is in its constant juxtapositioning of characters, actors, metaphors, and design. It remains one of those movies that I can and will watch over and over again. I must admit that I could never grow tired of watching Mila in any of her awesome roles! This woman is amazing, she is a certified supermodel, kick ass action star, and singer (I mean she has sung vocals with one of the best bands ever!!! The band: A Perfect Circle!!!!!!!!!) And what a wonderful amagamation of actors in this tale. What would be great is if Luc did a revision of this awesome movie with today's CGI capabilities. If one is a true cinephile, or at least a true Sci-fi fan, then one would have to appreciate this movie, and have it in their collection.

  3. I watch this movie for Lelu and Rod... I'm sorry Bruce, but you were only a supporting roll to the epicness that happened.

  4. I've lost count of the number of times someone around here has asked for the lights to be turned on with the cry
    "Lights,,,, Aziz"

    love this film.

  5. I'm really looking forward to Valerian Lieonte Munoz, could be similar.

Gene Chiu It's so many movies rolled into one. I frequently skip the first couple scenes (aziz light!) but I like the chaotic nature of..well everything.

  6. Cass Morrison Wow! I saw the trailer for Valerian the other day, I too am "proverbially" salivating at it's launch. I've seen enough trailers recently to believe this will be a truly Blockbuster movie summer. Have you seen the 4th trailer for The upcoming Wonder Woman movie? Oh, and if you are a Sci-Fi fan Cass, you may wish to check out a most amazing space Opera TV series called: "The Expanse".

  8. Cass Morrison I haven't watched The Expanse yet. Is it too late to catch up? It sounds like a series I would like, but I feel very late to start.

I'm looking forward to Killjoys and Dark Matter this summer. I'm also liking forward to Wynonna Earp. I caught the reruns and ended up getting hooked. I caught up watching the first season on Netflix.

  10. Cass Morrison The Expanse is not available on Netflix. I also have a number of other things I'm watching. Hard to fit anymore in. Already, want to watch Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist as I am interested in Defenders.
