ReplyDeleteThe real problem involved is the stalling of quality of life improvements dating from Reagan’s election in 1980 and the rising inequality since then. The latest generation doesn’t have a credible shot at the traditional American Dream, and they know it. The generation before is middle aged and realizing things aren’t getting better, and despair (and opioid addiction) have set in. The reckoning is likely o be very bad.
