One of the indications of piling on years is that I remember when computer updates (hardware or software) were an exciting event to anticipate.
Now they mostly come across as lateral moves, churning things around to obey their marketing department which did focus groups with 17 year olds in Silicon Valley.
Getting excited yearly about Android is getting pretty akin to getting excited about Windows updates, IMO. It's a lot of fine-tuning anymore.
