I live in a small Canadian Prairie city with a spouse and a dog. We retired in 2018. This is what life is like.
I'm coming off nightshift, but not much precipitation down here.
Hard to imagine daybreak that early..We're working next Sunday on an event and start at 5 am (or 5:30, not sure) and it's pitch black..That sunrise pic I shared a couple of mornings ago was taken at 6:50 am I think from memory.
It gets better, solstice dawn is around 4:07 so sky lightens 30 minutes before. I miss the stars in summer.
Even as a shift worker, I can tell you the sky only darkens for an hour or two during the solstice.
