Men at my workplace tend to take at least a couple weeks family leave when kids are born and talk about their family a lot.
One guy had some disrespectful attitudes towards his wife (saying the kids weren't theirs!?!) yet was still very involved in wanting their kids to become responsible, productive adults. I think having employers deal with 12 month mat leave has made it much easier to create a pool of skilled workers for more positions.
