Feeling more and more that we dodged a bullet in our home hunt. We may have looked in this community

People who should be living in adult only community make is uncomfortable for families. Looks like stratas need to include playground spaces for these horrifying disruptive activities. I, a child free near senior, love seeing kids play outside. Young families was one of the reasons we chose our location and now we get to see grandkids play. Sure there were some clunks - like kids playing with lacrosse balls against our garage door without asking. But some spaces can be really enticing and no harm, no foul.

  1. I recall a similar incident about 15 or so years ago in a neighbourhood in Metro Vancouver. I think someone called the cops on some kids playing street hockey. I think the incident was resolved with no charges or anything.

  2. Some years ago, my in-laws were looking at an adult only retirement community in Florida. Part of our argument against it was ... you realize that means your grandchildren can't come to visit, right? I get it. Some people find the joyous laughter of small children annoying and irritating. Those people need exactly that kind of joy in their lives too.
