  2. enough people wanted a "strong man" I can't believe it either after his brother... I think Wynne should have stood aside immediately after calling the election or Libs should have had a leadership convention right before. Also feds should have stepped up with $$$ for the refugees/asylum seekers sooner.

  3. I still believe I'd have taken 4 more years of Wynne over this clown. Now, maybe a couple of years from now he'll prove me wrong. For the province's sake, I certainly hope so. But so far ... living up to my (extremely low) expectations.

As far as the basic income pilot goes, any results it was going to generate would be terribly skewed anyway. Why? Because by only giving it to a select group, and not EVERYONE in a given area, all they're really showing is the effect of giving select families an extra $1,000/month when others aren't given the same. I know what difference that would make in our house. And he does nail that part ... it reduces stress about money. It allows people to create savings, or reduce debt, or both. But if EVERYONE gets it, what would likely end up happening is inflation, and then nobody's really any further ahead.

  4. I think it should be part of your taxable income. Bump up the exempt level so very low income earners would get to keep the extra cash. I would be ok with having mostly taxed back.
