Don't rent from Marri Properties in Calgary until they own up to their lack of diligence. Especially if you are a woman.
It is stunning to me that in Alberta being bondable is not a requirement for apartment manager and/or that sexual assault or domestic violence isn't enough to prevent being bondable. And, of course, an insurance company would not cover this type of incident. It's pure negligence on the part of the property management company regardless of law requirements. Perhaps now that the assailant is in jail Marri Properties will act; it certainly makes her case stronger.
