We don't get as many kids. Usually about a dozen.
ReplyDeletePart of the problem is that our front door is not visible from the street for parents who drive their kids through the neighborhood.
However, it seems like we're getting new families in the area, and the kid count is up.
We lived couple blocks away when we first moved here and would have well over 100 kids. I think a lot of people do the mall thing too. But it's really going to be a nice evening for a walk and to meet neighbours.
ReplyDeleteI've lived "here" for over forty years - there has been a total of one small group of kids, one time. I guess the narrow dark gravel driveway through the woods 500 feet to the house may have something to do with that.

ReplyDeleteChilly rain here. It was forecast, so most people did trick or treating last night, when it was very nice outside.
ReplyDeleteWarm, clear and windless. We had the usual 60-70 and could see all the costumes. Fun evening.
