This works so well for me. I find my right shoulder is often fatigued enough that poor mouse placement gets noticeably annoying. Using my left hand, I can write notes, drink stuff and reach for all the stuff right hand people put in easy reach of their ... right hand!

  1. I use an upright mouse..
Much easier on the arm, especially the forearm because the wrist isn't twisted (an issue with me because after breaking a bone in mine again a few years ago using a flat mouse became painful very quickly)

  2. I’m a touch screen owner, but I’ll give this a try next time I’m using a mouse.

  3. I like the big Kensington trackball. For maximum variety, you can have two different types of mice on two different sides of the keyboard and switch from day to day.

  4. Where’s the EH key, Cass Morrison? I mean that is a Canadian Keyboard, right?

  5. This is what I have been doing ever since I started using a mouse. In university is the first time I started using the mouse. I am right handed, so I put my notebook on the right of my keyboard. That way, I can write notes while on the computer. The mouse got in the way of the notebook, so I moved it over to the left and used the mouse with my left hand.

I can use the mouse with both hands. When gaming, I use the mouse with my right because the keys I have to press on the keyboard are on the left side of the keyboard. Sometimes at works I have to use the mouse a lot for certain tasks. If my left hand gets tired, I just switch to my right. There have been times when I had to use the mouse repeatedly for extended periods of time. I would alternate using my left and right hand to give the other hand a rest.
