Everyone wants to eat in a healthy manner and knows what choices they **should** be making. In our town there are community gardens and many older people have back yard gardens. How do we get younger families interested in gardening? I know most of this is driven by hubby in our family. Introduce though raspberry canes (low maintenance perennials) in school? Community greenhouses? Home Ec classes that include gardening and nutrition as well as food prep? Maybe a link in with 4H clubs (I know we still have them where I live, not sure about US.) This would supplement grocery stores and like solar panels could drive down prices for entire community.
