What is fair? Depends on what kind of fair (reward or punishment) and old you are.
My dad was a primary grade teacher. I remember him coming home and saying he couldn't single children out for reward. I thought that was interesting because one of the teachers I thought was the best, gave everyone a reward based on skills improvement.
