Typical, no pain experts included on panel. No mention of addiction statistics when prescribed .

After my ankle I was on restricted medication, I think heroine based. I got a warning to return unused meds to a pharmacy - which I did after they sat in the cupboard unused for a year. I cannot imagine recovery without adequate pain support. I would have overdosed on acetaminophen and ibuprofen. I react badly to codeine so no relief there.

What is the supply chain for street drugs like these? Perhaps there needs to be pain centres where experts in pain assessment and prescription monitor patients. I can think of many ways this could work to get meds to the right people and reduce availability. It might be expensive, from employee screening to monitoring to medication delivery. If Prince can die while under medical care, what hope do the less wealthy have.

Of course the reason for massive addiction rates need to addressed as well.

  2. If you use painkillers long term you become chemically dependent or drug dependent but don't confuse that with addiction
An addict is someone whom has obsessive compulsive thinking Addicts sober up become addicted to sex shopping anything outside of themselves that makes them feel good
Being drug dependent on painkillers your body stops producing your own natural painkillers. So when you stop your suffering is because your body has no pain relief at all. You need to get through it I use Imodium complete that will stop diarrhoea and your bowels from contorting. I then use Neo citron and pretend I have the flu for three days
I know drug addicts and they can not comprehend how I have hard-core drugs and not abuse them
    I use medication as prescribed
A drug addict is going to consume the whole bottle in one day and then blame their doctor
I was given a drug that was sixty times worse than heroin but when this drug was causing me a problem I stopped it no matter what I went through you're better off than continuing to use a drug like that When withdrawing from this drug and the suffering that caused me to suffering was because this drug is no good so withdrawal is a good thing
A drug addict does not think like this they obsess on their suffering and they remember when they enjoy this drug which could be 30 years ago and their lives could be a complete disaster for 30yrs but they only remember when they enjoyed taking this drug not the problem it's causing them no matter how much their kids and women hate them they only think of their own suffering and are blinded to the suffering they caused the people who love them
My father was sober for 30yrs but it was still his drinking what killed him alcohol rots you from the inside out he drank 80 ounces of rye a day
He was a sociopath it took him 15yrs of Sobriety before he understood other people have feelings .
He sobered up because he was gonna lose his family and die a horrible death
It takes five years of sobriety for an addict to be ware they were when they started. If an addict started their addiction when they were 15 as long as they're in their addiction they never will mature Beyond a 15 yr old My father did what he had to in order to be sober and it was the thought of losing his family that kept him sober

  7. That's a great point David Hyde, having the drugs available will certainly separate the addicts from non-addicts. I think withdrawal symptoms can be a barrier.

  8. Cass Morrison(null) best thing you can do is make sure you know your medication and what's bad and stop when you have to
I went through withdrawals for four years because of one drug the problem is long term use not abuse . It's synthetic and that's the problem your body can't brake it down your liver stores it until it can't take anymore and then the liver spits it out and you go through another coarse of withdrawal
Each time you go through withdrawals it's less than the last one and it will be a longer time before you go through it again
Sixty times worse than heroin but when you stop using it no matter how you suffer it is a good thing because there's an end if you just keep going it's over before you know it
I spit my teeth out and tore muscles completely off the bone but I just keep going the thought of starting again just seams like a dumb idea the never ending plan is bullshit that will consume you
My problem was the addict doctors could not take a drug away from me if they are not knowledgeable of the drug and the reason you were prescribed it
So I just stopped using it and walked into their office a month later when I was spitting my teeth on their floor and the muscle I ripped completely off my arm and they looked at me completely in shock and disbelief so I asked can you help me now I also reminded them there is a new drug they want me to use instead so they agreed and helped me.
Using a drug that no longer helps you will turn your life into a yellow shit Hurricane.
Don't wait For the worst case scenario I guarantee you it will find you their is no escape.

  10. Where I work has an industrial rail yard with; it's very labour intensive so we are doing what we can with car loading but the switchman position will never be a low energy job unless the nature of switches changes drastically. Perhaps you could go into safety training or inspection/auditing? A lot of our formal trainers have extensive rail yard experience.
