In addition to interest rates, you now have to judge banks on IT Security?

Once data is out there it can be pretty difficult to recover without the help of your bank. At least mobile banking apps allow you to monitor your accounts. But it makes securing your PIN even more important if you are not using tap to pay.

  1. We use a prepaid visa card that's not linked to any bank account.. Only use it to buy stuff online so there's limited chances of our account details being picked up..
Tried to open a paypal account a month or two ago.. they refused to honour our card because it wasn't linked to a bank account.. they demanded those details , as they said "for security reasons"
I told them I refused to hand over those details for the same reason.
Having said that, we don't have a paypal account and have obviously saved a stack of money because of it :D

  2. Neither of us had to provide banking information and the VISA I use is not from a bank I have accounts with. Different rules for different countries I guess. You are right about saving money by not having PayPal though 😁
