I live in an area really hard hit by the downturn in oil. Our house value dropped by over 25%. In the last year there have been new home starts again. Even with the weather and we see the benefit of remaining in a community we've been a member or for 20 years. and have a pretty balance retirement investment portfolio so I don't expect growth to really change.

I live in a small Canadian Prairie city with a spouse and a dog. We retired in 2018. This is what life is like.
