It's important to balance preventative health measures with living. Immortality is unlikely in our time
I'm 57 and at this point my idea of wellness is to minimize the need for medications as I age and be able to do the activities I enjoy as long as possible. We constantly talk about our good fortune. Being born in Canada, having a middle class upbringing, not being really affected by economic downturns or health crises. Sure we worked hard but so did the people laid off in all the downturns. We had lucky timing.
This idea that everything, from wealth to health outcomes is a moral reflection is incomprehensible.
